סיכום שנת 2024 – יישוב סכסוכים אחר

איך אפשר בכלל לסכם שנה כל כך מטורפת? בחיים שלי? בחיים שלנו כאן? 

ומי היה יכול בכלל להעלות על דעתו שתעבור עוד שנה שלמה והחטופים שלנו עוד לא חזרו הביתה? מצד אחד תחושה שזה אוטוטו קורה…ומצד שני אולי זה בכלל עוד ממש רחוק…

ובכל הכאוס הזה וכל מה שקורה פה במדינה, אין ברירה אלא להמשיך את החיים.

ומבחינתי, דווקא העיסוק היומיומי שלי ביישוב סכסוכים הוא  כשלעצמו  החוסן, השליחות שלי.

במקומות החשוכים, כל הסכמה בין צדדים שסייעתי לה, ששמה מחלוקות מאחור ומסייעת להרים את הראש ולהסתכל קדימה – היא נקודת האור שלי.

כל שיחה קשה שהתהוותה לה הפלטפורמה להתקיים,

כל נקודה חדשה למחשבה שהתקבלה מתוך דיאלוג מסביב לשולחן בגובה העיניים בין צדדים ניצים,

כל רגע של הקשבה מתוך רצון להבין את נקודת המבט של מי שנמצא בצד השני של השולחן,

כל מפגש עם תלמיד או תלמידה שמעודד לחשוב ולהסתכל בפרספקטיבה שונה על איך אפשר לפתור ולנהל סכסוכים,

כל אלו הם הניצחונות האישיים שלי השנה.

ולמרות כל השנה המטורפת הזאת, פתאום כשאני יושבת, עוצרת לרגע (ולמכירים אותי מקרוב, עצירה היא לא דבר שקל לי לעשות..:)), אני פתאום קולטת גם שאיכשהו, בלי לשים יותר מידי לב:

• מעל 150 גישורים שעברו השנה במשרדי, הסתיימו בהסכם, וחלקם לא.
• נסעתי לפאריז לתחרות יישוב סכסוכים בינלאומית של ה-ICC עם קבוצה של סטודנטים מבר אילן, בשיא המתח, כנגד כל הסיכויים כקבוצה ישראלית יחידה, לתוך סביבה תומכת ועוינת כאחד.
• נפגשתי בקורסים וסדנאות שונות באקדמיה ובמשרדי עו"ד עם למעלה מ-150 תלמידות.ים וקולגות וזכיתי להדגים להם בהרצאות ותרגולים בסימולציות דרך אחרת ליישוב סכסוכים וניהול משא ומתן.
• חזרתי לקדם את הפודקאסט  "סודות מחדר המשא ומתן" אחרי הפסקה לא קצרה, ועדיין בהלם מזה שאלפי אנשים כבר האזינו לו.
• זכיתי להנחות וללוות תלמידות.ים פרקטיקום ומגשרות.ים מוכשרות.ים ביותר שחוו על בשרם את מעשה הגישור.
• קהילת בוגרי הפרקטיקום שלי כבר מונה למעלה מ-100 בוגרות.ים (כותבת ולא מאמינה שזה אמיתי…)
• נסעתי לדובאי לשבוע יישוב סכסוכים וזכיתי לפגוש קולגות ואנשים שכנראה בשום מקום אחר לא הייתי פוגשת, למפגשים מרתקים ושיתופי פעולה חדשים שנרקמים שבקרוב יצאו לאור…
• וגם כשלא הכל היה תמיד ורוד, ולא תמיד הלך כמו שרציתי או קיוויתי, ידעתי לקום ולהתאושש מהר, כי המטרה המרכזית מאוד בהירה לי – יישוב סכסוכים אחר, מכבד, מקשיב, מקצועי, תורם, יעיל ומועיל.

אז מה אני מאחלת לעצמי ולנו לשנה הבאה?

קודם כל שנראה כבר בבית את החטופים שבים, כי בלי זה אי אפשר להשתקם ולהקים פה מחדש את החברה שלנו.

שהשנה הזו שמתחילה עם חג החנוכה – חג האורות – תאיר לנו כל השנה.

מאחלת לעצמי הרפתקאות והתנסויות מקצועיות חדשות ומרתקות, ולהמשיך בדרך עם אופטימיות, תקווה ונחישות,

שיכול להיות פה אחרת.

השיח והדיאלוג הם הדרך היחידה להמשיך לחיות פה ביחד. אין אלטרנטיבה טובה יותר.

2024 Summery – A Different Kind of Conflict Resolution

How can you possibly sum up such a crazy year? In my life? In our lives here?

Who could have imagined that another entire year would pass, and our hostages still haven't come home? On one hand, it feels like it’s about to happen any moment… and on the other hand, maybe it's still really far away…

And through all the chaos and everything that’s happening in the country, there’s no choice but to keep living.

For me, my daily work in conflict resolution is, in itself, my resilience, my mission.

In the darkest places, every agreement I’ve helped facilitate – one that leaves conflicts behind and helps people lift their heads and look forward – is my light.

Every difficult conversation that found a platform to exist,

Every new thought that emerged from a dialogue around the table, eye to eye, between opposing sides,

Every moment of listening with a desire to understand the perspective of the person on the other side of the table,

Every meeting with a student who is encouraged to think and look at things from a different perspective on how to solve and manage conflicts,

All of these are my personal victories this year.

And despite this crazy year, suddenly, when I sit and pause for a moment (and for those who know me well, pausing isn’t something that comes easy to me… :)), I suddenly realize that somehow, without paying too much attention:

Over 150 mediations this year in my office ended in an agreement, some of them not.

I went to Paris for an international conflict resolution competition by the ICC with a group of students from Bar Ilan University, in the midst of tension, against all odds as the only Israeli group, into a supportive and hostile environment alike.

I met with over 150 students and colleagues in various courses and workshops at the academy and law offices, and had the opportunity to demonstrate to them through lectures and exercises a different way of conflict resolution and negotiation management.

I returned to promote the podcast "Secrets from the Negotiation Room" after a long break, and I’m still in shock that thousands of people have already listened to it.

I had the privilege of mentoring and guiding the most talented practicum students and mediators who experienced the practice of mediation firsthand.

My practicum alumni community now includes over 100 graduates (I’m writing this and can’t believe it’s real…).

I went to Dubai for a week of conflict resolution and had the chance to meet colleagues and people I probably would never have met anywhere else, for fascinating meetings and new collaborations that will soon be revealed…

And even when not everything was always rosy, and things didn’t always go the way I wanted or hoped, I knew how to rise and bounce back quickly because the central goal is very clear to me – a different kind of conflict resolution, one that is respectful, listens, professional, contributing, efficient, and beneficial.

So, what do I wish for myself and for us in the coming year?

First of all, that we’ll see the hostages coming home, because without that, we can’t rebuild and restore our society here.

That this year, which starts with Hanukkah – the festival of lights – will shine for us all year long.

I wish for new and exciting professional adventures and experiences, and to continue on the path with optimism, hope, and determination,

That things can be different here.

Dialogue and discussion are the only way to continue living together here. There is no better alternative.
